Guidelines
The contest is open to students enrolled at NC State University.
Each student can submit up to three (3) designs.
Each student must submit their design(s) through the Google Form linked below.
For your initial submission, please upload your design(s) as an image (JPEG, PNG…) or PDF.
Each student must retain their high-resolution production files including but not limited to ai, psd, eps, pdf (with retained layers) files until the end of the contest. Students of the selected designs will be contacted to provide their production files.
Design Requirements
Please create your design to fit within a 12 x 12in canvas
Make sure to include ‘Summer Sessions at NC State’ somewhere in your design. See the 2024 and 2025 winning designs for examples.
Your design can utilize any original (not copyrighted) work from a variety of media (traditional* and digital illustrations, photographs, typography…)
No obscenity, or profane language
No art theft – all designs must be your own
Hand-drawn illustrations are accepted but should be digitized in advance and made available on a transparent background.
Coaches and player likenesses may not be used.
Logos and existing copyrighted or trademarked symbols and images are not allowed.
If you are using any text, please adhere to the Code of Student Conduct and follow the following editorial requirements:

Submit up to three (3) mockups of your designs applied to any of the t-shirt templates available below.
Submit your designs by Friday, December 12, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. by using the Google Form linked below.
By submitting an entry, you are agreeing to all contest rules.
By submitting a design for consideration, you confirm that to the best of your knowledge, the design you are submitting is your own original work and that no other persons or parties can claim ownership.
All entries become the exclusive property of Summer Sessions at NC State.
Summer Sessions at NC State may alter the artwork of the winning design to meet production and design guidelines and to remain consistent with NC State Trademark Licensing rules. We reserve the right to modify and amend these guidelines without notice.

The top 4 t-shirt designs will be selected by a panel of judges and will be shared on Instagram @NCStateStudentServices to be voted on by the campus community. Voting will take place at the start of the Spring 2026 semester.
Contest Result Announcement
The winning student’s design will be announced a week after the voting period concludes.
